Campaign Story
Our mission is to build two free digital platforms that give thousands of young Africans the experience, credibility, and opportunities they deserve. “You need experience to get a job, but you need a job to get experience”. This is the impossible choice facing millions of bright, educated young people across Africa. They are full of potential but locked out of the economy, not because they can’t learn, but because no one gives them a first chance.
We are Youthup Global, and we are turning potential into proof with two powerful, connected platforms. The first is Utídia, the Experience Platform, where young people get their crucial first chance by connecting to real-world projects, virtual apprenticeships, and paid gigs-completely free for youth across Africa. However, experience alone isn’t enough; you have to prove it. That is why we are also building Portfodia, the Digital Proof Platform. Portfodia gives every young person a professional digital profile to showcase their verified skills, projects, and certificates, ensuring their hard work is seen by employers.
This mission is personal for our founder, Dr. Faith Nwaobia, who remembers being that young person-educated, skilled, but utterly unseen. He started Youthup Global to be the “hand up” he never had. Without major grants, our small team has already trained over 2,500 young Africans, and now we are ready to scale this impact digitally.
We need ₦22,500,000 to build, launch, and maintain these platforms for one year. Your support directly impacts lives: a donation gives one young person a verified apprenticeship and digital portfolio, A contribution aslo sponsors a full learn-and-earn cycle for two young Africans, and larger gifts of ₦750,000 fund critical platform development for thousands of users. We are committed to transparency; these funds will cover Utídia 3.0 and Portfodia 1.0 development (₦8,250,000 combined), UI/UX design (₦1,500,000), branding and youth onboarding (₦9,000,000 combined), and one year of maintenance and hosting (₦3,750,000).
